Our research provides key insights into the current context that HR in Ireland is operating in today, and how the profession is responding to a changing and challenging workplace and labour market. With persistent skills shortages in view of a growing Irish economy, greater emphasis is being placed on employee engagement and development to improve retention. In this regard, the role of line managers in people management has become increasingly important in ensuring employees remain engaged.
