European Company Survey 2019: workplace practices unlocking employee potential

This survey, carried out jointly by Eurofound and Cedefop in 2019, covers a wide range of workplace practices and strategies and how these are combined to promote wellbeing and organisation performance

Highlighting the importance of investing in your people to meet challenges presented by technological, environmental and demographic change, workplace practices have been on the EU policy agenda in the context of the European Employment Strategy for some time now.

In response, the European Company Survey (ECS) report looks at a wide range of workplace practices and strategies including work organisation, HR management, skills use and development and employee involvement in organisational decision-making.

Recognising the challenges associated with changing workplace practices, and the key role of managers within that, the report shows that by adopting an approach combining these as ‘bundles of practices’ can result in effective workplace wellbeing and establishment performance.
