The CIPD Profession Map captures the knowledge and behaviours that HR and L&D professionals need to demonstrate in order to meet our requirements for professional membership.

The map defines the building blocks of effective people management practice across ten professional specialisms, and describes eight fundamental behaviours that underpin good practice regardless of specialism.

The Map is flexible, so you can choose what to focus on depending on your area of work, the level of accountability you have in your role, and your career development ambitions.
