We’re part of the CIPD — the professional body for HR and people development. The CIPD is the voice of a worldwide community of more than 150,000 members committed to championing better work and working lives.
The CIPD Ireland South East Region encompasses Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford and Carlow. The South East has been growing significantly in recent years and we want to support its continued growth by showing the area has a rich pool of HR/L&D professionals. It is vitally important to strengthen our networking, relationship building, knowledge sharing and continued strategic input in local businesses.
We run varied events from; business breakfasts to brunches to social evenings on employment law updates and topical areas in HR which meet the needs of our members. We look for feedback at our events and we strive to provide relevance and enhanced value to CIPD membership in the South East.
The South East Region, with a population of 510,333 is home to 75 multinational companies employing close to 15,000 people. The main clusters are Financial Services, Technology, International Business Services and High Value Manufacturing (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Engineering). The CIPD Ireland South East Region are delighted to have an ongoing working partnership with Waterford Institute of Technology who conduct an accredited CIPD comprehensive programme covering areas of human resource management and employment relations including a Masters in Human Resource Management.
Our committee are dedicated and committed to providing a worthwhile programme of events and networking opportunities to our South East members. We look forward to seeing our current members and new members at our many events throughout the year. We also welcome non member/potential members to most of our events.

10 December 2019 | CIPD South East region - 'Discover how you can access funded training for your employees'
The CIPD South East Regional Committee where delighted to host a workshop to demonstrate how to access funding and support towards training with the South East Regional Skills Forum on December 10 2019.
Training and Development is a central function of Human resource management. It can lead to greater work satisfaction, better retention and engagement. However, sometimes it can be hard to find the budget or time necessary for adequate training and development in your organisation. As employers we contribute to the National Training Fund.
