The Annual Meeting will be followed by our evening event, exploring excellence in HR. This will incorporate an update from Arthur Cox on parental leave changes alongside the launch of our prestigious CIPD Ireland HR Awards 2020.

With the new Parental Leave (Amendment) Act 2019 coming into effect on September 1, and paid parental leave due on 1 November 2019, HR professionals face the challenge of navigating an array of new entitlements and procedures, and explaining these to employees. With significant confusion being felt, we’re delighted to welcome the experts from Arthur Cox, who will guide you through the upcoming changes and their implications for you and your workforce.

As we launch our prestigious 2020 HR Awards, we are also excited to welcome members of our CIPD Ireland HR Awards judging panel, including the Chair of the judges Prof Bill Roche, who will share their insights on how winning entries stand out from the crowd.

Our panel of experts will be discussing how they evaluate the best HR practices and projects around Ireland, and giving advice on what makes an application successful.

This will be the official launch of the CIPD Ireland HR Awards 2020, so make sure to get some valuable information before submitting your entry! Applications will be open on our website from 12 September until 15 October 2019.

Our evening will conclude with networking and a reception at 19.30, the perfect chance to share feedback and insights with our team, judges and your fellow attendees.
