The role

The CIPD Ireland team have an opportunity for a Membership Development & Marketing Manager to join them on permanent basis.

The role requires flexibility as the person will work in a small team, based in our new office in Dublin - A3 The Locks, Charlotte Quay, Dublin 4.

As Membership Development & Marketing Manager you will engage and act as the face of the CIPD to key customer segments in Ireland, namely centres, students, members, and other key partners, primarily proactively but also though incoming leads from direct enquires, renewal and upgrading opportunities.

The role will identify and develop relationships and opportunities for new and existing customers and customer segments, drawing on understanding of membership engagement and the extensive range of CIPD products and services.

You will take a pro-active, methodical approach to developing relationships and selling, through regular contact with customers/prospects through every available means, mindful not only of annual budgets, but also longer-term relationships.

Knowledge, skills & experience

  • Of graduate calibre
  • General knowledge, insight, and/or background in HR and L&D
  • Communications/marketing capability to draw on HR and L&D knowledge to drive communications and the content proposition
  • Demonstration of creative approaches to building social media presence
  • Strong team play with capability to work collaboratively within CIPD Ireland and with all CIPD colleagues
  • Experience of business and customer relationship development
  • Understand sales in education/professional services/b2b environment
  • Excellent at articulating solutions based on business/customer needs
  • Good knowledge of working with Irish organisations and educational institutes.
  • Confident at presenting, possesses impact and presence, able to converse with people at all levels
  • Decisive, action-centred, ‘gets things done’, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and commercial skills
  • Computer literate, CRM systems, Microsoft Office and spreadsheets

The role

The CIPD Ireland team have an opportunity for an Events Executive to join them on permanent basis.

The role requires flexibility as the person will work in a small team, based in our new office in Dublin - A3 The Locks, Charlotte Quay, Dublin 4.

You will be responsible for delivering a series of exciting conferences and events in conjunction with the wider CIPD team. This will include planning, managing and delivering conferences, seminars, awards and Dublin member network events, so that CIPD events deliver maximum value and impact.

We are looking for an events and marketing professional, with a sound track record of conference/events/logistics management and coordination.

Knowledge, skills & experience

  • Graduate calibre
  • Experience of delivering leading events ranging from large conferences to small seminars and meetings
  • Experience of venue and sponsor management
  • An ability to bring new ideas to life, be an excellent team player, with a winning style and the ability to motivate and engage internally and externally.
  • Ability to identify and progress marketing and communications opportunities, including website and social media
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • IT expertise including events software
  • Project management skills
  • A keen interest in human resources/people management/skills development issues
  • Experience or qualification in events management/PR/marketing/communications (desirable)
  • Track record in marketing and communications, including social media (desirable)
  • Experience of working with professional or membership bodies (desirable)
  • Understanding of the professional development sector (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a complex stakeholder environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the work of HR and CIPD (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a not for profit environment (desirable)
  • Managing sponsors and exhibitors (desirable)
